CP Rail Seeks Development Proposals for Shoreham Yards

The Canadian Pacific Railroad is seeking development proposals for two properties it owns in Northeast Minneapolis: a 17.9 acre site along Central Avenue 28th Avenue NE and 30th Avenue NE and an 18.5 acre property along the south side of St. Anthony Parkway, west of Central Avenue. Proposals are due on June 1. CP is interested in disposing of the properties if qualified developers are interested in developing projects that are compatible with the railroad's existing operations. The proposed use of the Central Avenue site is commercial, industrial, or mixed-use and the proposed use of the St. Anthony Parkway site is primarily residential. More detailed information on these two requests for proposals (RFP) may be found at this page:

Property Maintenance Inspection Sweep Planned for Summer

The City of Minneapolis housing inspections staff plan to inspect of parts of Audubon Park beginning in June to address property maintenance violations. Neighbors are reminded to keep their properties in compliance with city ordinances and report code violations by calling 311 or online. Keeping our neighborhood's housing stock in good condition is critical to maintaining our quality of life and attracting new residents.

The following is a list of common violations:

Alley/sidewalk

Growth and vegetation that hangs over the edge of the public alley or public sidewalk must be cut and removed. A clearance of 7 feet over public sidewalks and 14 feet over public alleys is required.

Garbage and litter
