The results are in, and crime in Minneapolis has dropped for the second year in a row. Even better for Audubon and all of Northeast, our Precinct saw the biggest drop, and we maintained our rank as the safest part of the city.

Violent crime is down in every Minneapolis police precinct. The Second Precinct (northeast) led the city in violent crime reduction, falling 21 percent.

Police Chief Dolan gave credit to community groups who help police do a great job. Audubon Park is the home and birthplace of a such a group, the Northeast Citizen Patrol. The NECP has just completed its fourth year of coordinating volunteer safety efforts among Northeast neighborhoods.
