4th Annual Audubon Farmers' Market Opens June 21

by Sarah Olson, Audubon Farmers’ Market Manager

For the fourth consecutive year, the Audubon Neighborhood Association(ANA) and Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church are excited to host the Audubon Mini Farmers’ Market. The market will be open Thursdays from 4-7pm, June 21st through September 27, 2012. It is located at the corner of 27th Ave NE & Johnson Street NE in GA’s overflow parking lot.

The main goal of mini markets is to provide locally grown, healthy foods to all communities within Minneapolis. Another goal is to educate, engage, and strengthen communities. The new partnership will further enhance this sense of community

Audubon Mini Farmers’ Market is thrilled that the same five vendors will return for the fourth consecutive year. Our vendors sell a vast array of vegetables, some fruit and flower bouquets. EVERYTHING is locally grown!

As the season progresses, the offerings at the Audubon Mini Farmers’ Market change from week to week.  Since everything is local, it is sometimes hard to make a detailed shopping list before you hit the Farmers’ Market. Don’t hesitate to ask vendors if they will have something you are interested in next week.

Here is a list of what to expect at the Audubon Mini Farmers’ Market as the summer progresses. Please use this as a “guide” only, as each growing season brings ever-changing options.
