Annual Meeting
October 5, 2015

Attendees: Board members Egan Haugesag, Terri Harder, Melissa Haugesag, Kevin Kelly, Sonja Peterson, Adam Sieve, Nic Baker, Don Sellers, Rachel Bode; Office Manager Luke Stultz

Meeting Called to Order at 7:34 pm

I. Welcome and Introductions

II. Vote for Neighborhood Priority Plan—NEMS Project
President Egan Haugesag introduced the concept and scope of the project to the community.

Marty asked for clarification on how much money is being moved—$15,000 is the exact number. A question was asked about the origin of the funding. Luke explained it was originally a part of the CPP.

Marty Schrieber moved to allocate the funds. Don Sellers seconded. The motion passed by unanimous community vote.

III. Home Improvement Loan Programs
Background and history of both loan programs was provided by Egan and Luke

  • Deferred Emergency Repair Loan Program
  • Revolving Loan Program

Christian Ann Larson made a motion to fund both programs and Sonja Peterson seconded. The motion passed by unanimous community vote.

Marty suggested having schools and churches post information on the loan programs in their bulletins and announcements.

IV. By-Law Updates
Egan provided some background for the by-law updates to the community. It was explained that the changes have been online for approximately a month.

Nic Baker motioned and Gavin Watt seconded. The motion passed by unanimous vote to update the by-laws.

V. Solicitation of Board Members and Committee formation
Egan explained the roles of board members and the backgrounds of certain committees and invited community members to join the board or look for committees to join.

VI. Board Elections

All board members were elected by unanimous vote.

VII. Elected officials, school leaders, and Miscellaneous
Council Member Kevin Reich and the NEMS Principal Vernon Rowe spoke to the community about developments in Audubon Park. Ericka Sass from Northeast College Prep also spoke to the community about happenings at her school.

Sonja shared that the closing of the Hollywood Theater from the City of Minneapolis to Andrew Volna will happen this Thursday, October 8th.

Motion to adjourn at 8:13 PM by Sonja. Kevin seconded.  Motion to adjourn approved by unanimous vote.
